No Water

JustMegawatt

11:01 PM

I had no water for the entire day today. I haven't had any water since around the morning of yesterday. Despite it only being around two days since the water in my entire area was cut off, I am almost out of all my reserve water. I can only flush my toilet two more times before I can no longer flush it. I think I may have to go through forced fasting so that I don't have to flush as much.

I went to Wal-Mart tonight and it was crowded. I went at around 10 PM, and usually at this time Wal-Mart is empty. Tonight it was packed, and all the water was nearly sold out. I was looking for those large 1 gallon water containers, and they were all sold out. The only water they had remaining were those packs of bottled water.

There's always these problems like this here.

Oh yeah, tonight, I saw three pretty horrible traffic violations in a row on my drive home, all from the same spot, all in the span of around 1 minute, in a row, each one of these cars were cars I encountered in a row. First, I was turning left, and the light was red, so I was in the left lane waiting for the light to turn green so I could turn. Someone on the lane to my right, which is only supposed to go straight, went ahead and cut in front of me to pass my lane and make a u-turn while the light was red. Second person was driving opposite my direction, with their lights completely off, they were just barely visible, I flashed my lights at them several times but they didn't do anything. Third person just went straight pass the red light without even slowing down.

Man this really doesn't bode well. I can't believe the water, electricity, or Internet, turn off here for several days in a row every now and then. It's common. It's so common. It happens once every 2-4 weeks. Everyone is used to it. It is not a fun experience.

I'm not able to cook anything so I bought some dried fruits and edamame last night, and that's all I ate today. I've gone months without cooking a single meal eating this way.

I don't know how anyone can raise a family like this, with the water or electricity or Internet constantly going off. I am just one person and I have around 24 gallons of water in reserve, and I exhausted 19 gallons within two days. Granted, this is the most water I have used during this situation, I have had this happen to me several times before and I lasted several days using up less than 10 gallons of water. It's really hot here too. How can someone survive here if there is no electricity? In Cuba, they have this issue happening there frequently as well, and people are dying from the heat. I only have fans in my home but I think they are literally a necessity.

For the water alone, it is worth it to sign up for a gym here like Planet Fitness. If they have a place to shower and use water, that's already a luxury I do not have at the moment. I am considering signing up for a gym just so I can use their shower.

If my electricity turned off, then I would be forced to go outside this time around. It is simply too hot these days. I might spend my time at a Starbucks at the mall.

Anyway. Crazy times we are living in. I need water. I need water.
