It's pretty interesting that yesterday I worked on a project for over 9 hours. Today I barely remember what I did. I also continued working on the project today of course, but I wasn't as fully immersed nor did I get as much done as yesterday. Still, an entire day went by.

I did as much as I could. I don't think I was too distracted. I don't even recall watching a single anime episode, not entirely from beginning to end anyway. I read some manga chapters, but barely. I just did this while I was taking a break.

2:19 AM (of Sunday, July 19th, 2026)

Well, one thing that surprised me recently is that they made an anime of The Exiled Reincarnated Heavy Knight. This is one of the manga I read and that I said was one of my favorites, along with the Level 9999 Gatcha manga. Who knew they would make anime of these series that I was randomly reading? There are countless manga and webtoons out there, what are the chances the two I liked the most in recent times would have an anime made from them? Quite low I think.

I think the Exiled Reincarnated Heavy Knight is a great series, but there are some major flaws with it as well. I don't know if I want to say any spoilers, but basically he claims in the very beginning that the Heavy Knight was probably the best class and it was overpowered. But this claim is constantly proven wrong when there are a ton of other characters far stronger than him, that he wouldn't be able to take on solo. It's a really good series, but I think for the point where I am in the story, it's gotten stale. The formula for the story has become extremely repetitive, what happens in the beginning, where they face near death, constantly happens every encounter. It's every encounter, every encounter is some unstoppable secret and unexpected enemy that brings them near death.

At the same time though, there is a unique death in the manga that is one of the best deaths I have ever seen in fiction. It's occurs pretty late in the series, so it probably won't appear in this season of the anime if the anime is only 12 episodes long, but that death was creative and monumental. I think after that death, the series goes downhill, that death was the climax. There's never been any death like it in any other series and it left quite an impression on me.

But yeah, I will just go ahead and name some other series' I've read that I think are decent. I think any of these could have an anime made from them. The Boxer, Surviving the Apocalypse, I Became the villain the hero is obsessed with, A Man's Man, What A Bountiful Harvest Demon Lord, Overgeared, Magic Academy's Genius Blinker.... man there are actually just so many, I could go on forever. What I'm reading now and that I'm enjoying is Fog Land. It's very interesting.

Anyway, still working on the math app, but I have other ideas for other apps too, which I'll work on right after this.
