Became Stronger, About AYAT, and Finished Math App

Doing pull-ups and chin-ups felt easy tonight, so I went for new personal bests today. These are my new personal bests at 200 pounds, 9 pull-ups in a row, and 9 chin-ups in a row. I didn’t think I was getting stronger from only doing 5 of each per day, but over the past month I went from 5 max of both to now 9 of both.

I also went from 194 pounds to 200 pounds though, so that’s not good. What’s surprising is that I actually became stronger.

Whew. Well I spent most of the day today just working on the math app again. I finally uploaded it to the Apple App Store and it’s been ready to submit for review since around 11 PM. I’ve been working on the Android submission now and that one is still not ready yet.

Also I will write about a topic I’ve never written about before. Over the years my profile description has just been “another user” on the site, and that’s because I didn’t want to gain any attention. However, I am actually the creator of this website, I made it back in early 2020 when I had been writing journal entries for around a decade and wanted to share it with the world.

One of my teachers in high school Ms. Abdelrazaq or Mrs., I don’t remember, made her class write weekly journals. I decided to continue doing it even after her classes ended, I don’t think anyone else did. Anyway I kept the journals to myself, but I really wanted to also share my stories with the world. So that’s how I came up with this website idea.

From now on I’ll be writing about AYAT activity that I do as well. It won’t just be another “I worked on a project today” which meant I was really working on AYAT unless otherwise specified.

The idea of collecting habits as well came to mind because why not have journal entries, to do’s, habits, etc, all in one place? And you have the option to make them public or private.

There are some habits that I have private, nearly all of my to-dos are private, but for the most part my habits are public, and I think it’s so cool being able to look at your journal entry and see what you wrote and also what habits you did and what to-dos you did. That’s such a great feature.

Anyway, I just wanted to be open about this topic, which I will be from now on.

Thank you to all the users who have been with us all these years. Let me know if you guys need anything. This entire website was built with your help so feel free to request any new features or report things you are unhappy with.

There will be an app release for AYAT soon. I mean the app is pretty much done already, but I don't know if I'm ready to submit it to the app stores yet. There might be another app I work on until then. It's why I was able to finish and submit this other math app much more quickly than AYAT's app, I am not sure if I'm ready to submit this app yet.

12:21 AM (of Monday, July 20th)

I thought my math app would be done on Friday, but it’s still not done even right now. I’m still working on the Google play submission.

Actually, it was basically already done. I forgot I started writing at 12:06 AM only because there was something pending for the submission, it is finished just now, so I just submitted the apps for review in the iOS and Google Play Store. The app is called Mental Math Champion. If all goes well, it will be published. It's my dream kind of math app. Endless and fun math challenges with no ceiling in skill level.

Actually, Elite is the hardest skill level, but I don't know if anyone will reach it. Multiplying 4 digit numbers like 5832 x 8212 is in the elite difficulty. I really don't think anyone will be able to reach it. I just looked up Arthur Benjamin who is probably the most famous mental math calculator alive, and he only does 2 digit multiplication. He does 3 digit squares, and I think even 4 digit squares, but not any 3 digit by 3 digit multiplication. Actually, there is possibly one person in history who can do 4 digit x 4 digit numbers easily.

Shakuntala Devi is probably the greatest mental calculator in all of history, she was able to multiply two 13 digit numbers in under 30 seconds, randomly chosen by professors and Guinness World Records recording her. I don't think anyone else comes close, I've not heard of anyone else coming close. She did this in 1980, prior to the Internet. Maybe she was born with these mental capabilities, or she never shared her secrets of being able to compute that well, but it's crazy. It is crazy. No one has come close. I don't even know anyone who can do 3 digit x 3 digit multiplication in their heads, let alone 13 digits x 13 digits in under 30 seconds.

Actually I've heard of Shakuntala Devi years ago. I didn't really appreciate her skill at all, until I memorized 13x13 to 20x20, because my level is not even a beginner compared to her. Even though I am ranked in the top 10% of every math game and app I have played, in one of them Quick Math Daily I was rank #1 in every category of that game, I am not even a beginner compared to her. She can literally do 13 digits by 13 digits. 323232 x 323232 is only 6 digit x 6 digit, and that is already nearly impossible for the human brain. It would take me a long time to compute that mentally and not lose track of it.

Anyway, I will write about the updates for the math app once it's released, it's called Mental Math Champion.
