october art log

It’s inktober! I’m not doing anything in particular this year, but ink is the medium of the month. Subject of the month is food & drinks. Paired with my recent interest in urban sketching, this sounds like a great excuse to eat out a bunch. Well, we’ll see.

  • Oct 1 [pen]: Urban sketching at the station coffeehouse. Interior of the cafe.
  • Oct 1 [watercolor]: Coloring a page of figure sketches from March. Testing out purple shadows. (surprisingly it does work, yay purbl)
  • Oct 2 [pen, watercolor]: Ink-and-wash of radiant boyjazz sitting at the breakfast table ready to eat an egg.
  • Oct 2 [pen]: Urban sketching. The drop-off driveway outside the station coffeehouse.
  • Oct 3 [pen, crayon]: Urban sketching, colored later. A train signal tower by the side of the road.
  • Oct 4 [pen, watercolor]: Illustrative spread of a juice glass, citrus slices, and leaves.
