I'm tired again. I did a lot of things again today. So let me first start by writing about last night, because I wasn't able to last night.
I attended a men's group meeting. I don't really know what to call it, it's a men's empowerment group that meets up once a month. My friend was running the meetup this time, and he invited me to join. It's a 3 hour event and it's pretty open ended depending on how the person leading wants to lead.
I didn't have to show up. It was out of the way to attend, and you had to pay for parking, but I showed up, and it was quite the event. I got to connect with other men. What happens and what we discuss in the meeting stays in the meeting, it's supposed to be a confidential event, so I'm not going to share anyone's story or what we did or talked about, but it was quite empowering.
The way my friend lead the meeting was absolutely real. I emerged there transformed. Did you know that I didn't watch any anime today? For the entire day? Or any adult videos? And I barely watched any YouTube as well. These are normally things I do every day. For the anime especially, I would have anime on in the background as I worked. I've gone through practically every dubbed anime there is during my years of working, so I rewatch a lot of anime that I have already seen. There are new anime that come out every day too, and I do watch them as well, but again, there's just a limited amount of these.
But today, I didn't watch a single anime. Why? Because I'm a new person. I'm also writing every day now., again, because I'm a new person. Did you know that I basically woke up today, worked for several hours without distraction, and then filled an entire day with lots of activities that didn't involve a single second of watching anime? This is rare. I hate anime too. I mean, my feelings for it are mixed. I am impressed with the artwork, sounds, story, characters, etc. for a lot of anime. There's so much work put into them. I am impressed, but as personal activity, I hate anime because it's a waste of time.
And so yeah, I did none of that today. Aren't I transformed? All from that men's group meeting.
I know that I look super fat and big in that photo. My face was too round too. I know, I know. I'm not happy about it at all.
Today though, I got a haircut with my favorite barber. We chat the entire time we had my haircut, and it lasted around an hour. He was the same guy that gave me a short haircut last year in my red shirt. It's when I realized that I can look super manly by just cutting my hair short. Super awesome dude. We exchanged phone numbers last time, and we exchanged phone numbers again today.
Now I look pretty manly again. Although I am kind of fat. I think I'll lose weight again. I will. There's no question about it.
Then... I hung out with Tony, the legend. Actually Tony was also the guy who lead the men's group meeting last night. He is 20 years older than me so I see him as a mentor. Except we are both kind of on the same path, and he treats me as an equal. We had dinner together, and I visited his place for a bit, he gave me some tiramisu, vegan of course, and it tasted amazing. He gave me way too much actually, I am going to have to throw the rest away, because I am flying back to VA tomorrow morning, and I cannot bring it on the plane.
I should go to sleep now. I'm only going to get 5 hours or so of sleep, but it is what it is.
