I’m back up to a 40-day streak of going outside every day. Feels good. Last year my streak reached 1509 days, but it got broken over Christmas vacation when I caught the flu at brother’s house. This year I struggled massively with motivation. I’d get up to three or four days, then let it lapse. The thrill of leaving the house every day has waned now that pandemic lockdown is a distant memory.
But for now, I’m back on the horse. But also, tomorrow is daylight savings so we’ll see if I can keep it up once it gets dark at 4:30 pm every day.
Today I went outside three times before noon, which feels downright decadent in this economy. First, LD chat was having the usual argument about potatoes in the tree, and that cat told everyone to go out and touch grass before it got too cold. I was like, good call. I took out the trash and was planning to do some sketching, but it was drizzling so I didn’t. Second, I went out to pick up a grocery order. Third, while putting away the groceries I realized I forgot to throw out the defunct mushrooms, so I had to head out again.
Really gotta get my ass in gear and finish my work project this weekend so I can be FREE once I leave on vacation Tuesday afternoon.
