Users No Longer Increment Their Own View Count

If you write an entry and view it, previously the view count would increase by 1. The view counters have now been updated so that none of your creations (journal entries, photos, logs, and profile) will increment if you visit them yourself. The view count will still increment if you visit someone else's creations, but for your own creations, the view count no longer updates.

One suggestion: it would be nice to have a more robust text editor. Specifically, I often want to do un-numbered lists (bullet points) with multiple levels of indentation. It would also be nice to have an html view where you can directly code your post in html. I've had a couple weird code issues in recent posts (one entry arbitrarily added junk code to the preview post, while another changed my text color) and html view would solve that by just letting me delete the unwanted code.

@Achaius Thanks Achaius, yeah the bullet points is a known issue. Technically the text editor already has that feature, it just doesn't display well on the website yet. We'll work on that and get it up and running soon.

When an entry is written and saved, it is actually converted to HTML so it can display properly when viewing a journal. Sometimes the HTML tags will appear in the preview because we actually only grab about the first 150 characters or so for the preview, and sometimes HTML is in that 150 characters without any closing tags. We will see what we can do about that, a code view would be a great solution.

@AYearAgoToday ohh interesting. I have no idea about that, I just thought, It would be nice sometimes to add photos inside of an entry if you want to show something specific right there, and the others like normal at the bottom. Habitica uses Markdown formatting, there's a Forum on the internet which said you could use... Markdown, HTML and something else. While I have no idea how that works nor how it detects what you're using... -> the display image or link ![]() / []() is what I'd like to do sometimes. Just, if that's possible and isn't in conflict with what you want this website to be 👀

@Plesi` You can actually already copy/paste images directly into the text editor. Try it. Go to one of your images on the site, right click on it and copy to clipboard, go to a journal entry and paste. It will appear, and then you can publish a post with it there.
