I'm starting this because I'm trying to start the habit of gratitude journaling. I have read and heard a lot about the benefits of the practice and, as someone who has dealt with depression in the past, I will do just about anything to prevent myself from feeling that way ever again.
Somehow, posting these random thoughts online for strangers to see is easier and much less scary than having a physical journal that anybody I know irl can find.
