For the past three days, I've had a constant low-level headache. I have no idea why. I rarely get headaches, and when I do, they always go away with an Advil; but this one hasn't.
I thought it might be related to screen fatigue (which I've never experienced in my life, but I've also never quite had a headache like this). So I decided to limit my screen time today. This is surprisingly difficult. It's not just games and websites; my books are e-books, my journal's an e-journal. My sketchbook is physical, but for any serious artwork I need to look up references online.
I began with a morning walk. (Fifty degrees out, another breezy blue-sky day. Welcome to spring.) When I got back, for lack of anything else to do, I washed all the dishes in the house and then went grocery shopping. Afterwards, I went down to the dock and had Popeyes for lunch while listening to HGR and Dante fish.
"OH MY GOD IT'S THUNDERGUT ... ... ... he got away!!! Okay. He exists. This gives me spirit. It's okay to get away a couple times. It gives you a personal story with the fish. Remember that time Thundergut bit on my line? I'll be telling my children about this."
Then I went back to my computer. Clean living is tough.
