August acquisitions: [+5, -2]

We’ve got a nice mix here. Two planned (a breeding project and a dragon for a skin), three unplanned (a couple of fodder saves and an Old Oak). The Kaiator Library is full and I need a gameplan for expansion—probably a new Kaiator tab, but how do I determine who goes in which tab?

  • Browsing Old Oaks was a mistake. (He’s 8 years old, turns 9 in December.) But I finally got a bugg to goop. Love scrolling the Old Oaks topic and amidst all the irishim skydancers and imperials there’s a random neon moth.
  • Cricket (Aug 14, 15kt): hatchling fathom | pear tide | aqua myrid | maize sparkle

  • so I was checking my saved AH searches past midnight and OH HELLO. frog get
  • (for the record, the search was “pear-aqua (for fathom)” with no parameters for tert/eyes, just manual pickiness. I lucked out with this guy. light eyes = ideal)

  • Zwei (July 14) [g2]: male mirror | teal flaunt | blood bee | cyan capsule

  • two years ago, Razanei and Chibundu hatched a teal/cherry/caribbean pup which I sold to Ellard. I’ve been rotating her in my head ever since. I like red-and-teal, and not having one felt like a gap in my progen kid roster. so, here we go: our 10th Raz/Chibundu keeper. maybe we should stop keeping them after this.
  • it feels so weird having a progen kid who is perfect out of the box. there’s nothing to change. he’s already his best self. (except maybe I could give him firefly. but capsule looks good with the skin and is more thematic.)

  • another breeding project down! the parents were very polite. 1/12 chance and they got it on the second nest UNLIKE THOSE BITCHES ISCARIOT AND ZENAIDA. YEAH I’M STILL MAD

  • impulse keeping a Zeke-line spiral in 2025? really?? but consider: this is THE spiral. peak spiral. platonic ideal of a Zeke-line spiral. it’s just too good the way his eyes match his capsule and his bottle glass and his foam highlights.
  • oh, actually Caladrius was January 2025. that’s fine. we have THE green spiral and THE blue spiral.
  • also, we love DIB dragons (Zieba is Maboroshi’s kid)

 

De-acquired: (2)

  • Aglionby (Taco x VICE, abyss/sapphire bog): she’s fine, just bland. triple blue-range with a fest skin. zzz. also she’s been here two and a half years and I have no sense of her character.
  • “Maruzensky” (unnamed f imp for mystery box whale skin): I tried with this one, it just didn’t stick. the g2 imp really sealed her fate. I was immediately like “we have a nicer imp at home”
